Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to
1. demonstrate knowledge of materials and equipment required in fashion design;
2. demonstrate effective knowledge of processes and technologies relevant to fashion product
designs;
3. identify sewing machine parts; and
4. describe the functions of sewing machine parts with a view to using the equipment
appropriately.
Course Outline
A study of the theoretical aspects of the sewing machine and its practical use. The course will
cover the study of machine parts and their individual functions. It is aimed at helping students
in using the major equipment accurately.
